Sabine Elementary School serves approximately 700 students in grades PreK - 5. It is located 2 miles north of Interstate I-20 in Gregg County, Texas. To access our school, take the Liberty City - Overton exit off of I-20. Go north approximately 1.2 miles on Old Highway 135 North. The elementary is located on the right.

Believing that every child can learn, Sabine Elementary School's mission is to create a positive learning environment that promotes high academic expectations, higher order thinking skills, self discipline, initiative and self esteem in all students;
 
In a way that:
  • A quality curriculum assures students meet or exceed state standards
  • Diversity in student population is recognized and addressed

    New School Information -
    All students start on Dec. 1st at the new building

    We look forward to our first week at the new school!  Each grade level is assigned a specific date to escort students to class. Please adhere to the following schedule if you plan on walking your children into the new school:

    Pre-K & Kinder Dec. 1st

    1st Grade Dec. 2nd

    2nd Grade Dec. 3rd

    3rd Grade Dec. 4th

    4th & 5th Grade Dec. 5th

    PLEASE do not park on the grass or walkways. We will have extra faculty and staff throughout the building to help your children get to the proper places.  We ask that you do not come eat lunch with students Dec. 1st Dec. 5th so that we may all adjust to our new surroundings and schedules.  We appreciate your help in making this transition as smooth as possible!

    THANKFUL for this Thanksgiving Holiday!

     

     

    Sabine Elementary will be moving to our new building very soon!  

     

    Be checking your student’s folder for more information on the following subjects:

    ·       School will start at the new address on Dec. 1st

    ·       Students will be given a private tour by teachers and staff

    ·       Transportation Information

    ·       New Lunch Schedules

    ·       Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures

    ·       There will be an Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the community (dates to be determined)

    ·       On the morning of December 1st you will be allowed to walk your children to their classroom

    Most of all, please remember that moving will be an adjustment for everyone involved.   We appreciate the patience and understanding that our families have always extended to our school and faculty.  We look forward to an exciting December!!
