Sabine High School Cross Country

The Sabine High School Cross Country team completed another excellent season, with a very good performance at regionals on Saturday.  The Varsity girls placed 12th in the team standings out of 24 teams.  Macy Rutland led the way again for the Lady Cardinals with a two mile time of 13:43.  Genesis Willett ran the course in 14:13, Sarah Webb ran a 14:18, Madison Matlock, competing in her 3rd straight regional meet, finished in 14 minutes 30 seconds.  Kali Bynog ran a time of 15 minutes 20 seconds and Laura Padron ran a 17:59.

The Varsity boys placed 10th in the overall team results out of 26 teams.  Junior, Armando Borrego led the charge, finishing the 5K race with a time of 19 minutes 18 seconds, Collin Clifford ran a 19:37.  Eddie Rosas finished in 20:04,  Logan Tucker ran 20 minutes 10 seconds. Chase Lopez 20:37 Saniel Acosta ran 21:34 and Wesley McGarity finished with a time of 22 minutes 10 seconds.  Logan and Collin have advanced to regionals four consecutive years now.
