     Dual Credit Courses offered through Kilgore College

                    Juniors – HIST 1301, HIST 1302, MUSIC 1306, SPEECH 1315, CHEM 1411

                    Seniors – ENGL 1301, 1302, GOVT 2306, GOVT 2305, MATH 1314, STAT 1342

     

    Information for TSI Exemption:

    Eligibility requirements for academic courses and workforce education courses not included in a level 1 certificate program (corrosion technology, criminal justice, and process technology):  

    ACT: composite score of 23 with 19 on English and/or math  

    SAT: 480 on the Evidenced Based Reading & Writitng and a 530 on the Mathematics

    *STAAR End-of-Course (EOC) for 11th grade eligibility: a. English II EOC - 4000 b. Algebra I EOC - 4000 with passing grade in Algebra II May only be used for initial enrollment in 11th grade. Students who enroll in 11th grade using these scores may continue enrollment until high school graduation. Further testing may be required upon high school graduation to meet the requirements of the Texas Success Initiative, unless student has otherwise satisfied TSI through completion of coursework or other testing.

      

    TSI scores required to enroll in Dual Credit courses and/or to enroll as a college freshman without having to take any remedial courses or take a dual credit course:  

    TSI Assessment standards: You're considered college ready in two ways:

    ELAR-1)score in the range of 945-990 on the multiple choice test, receive a diagnostic level of 5 or higher on the Diagnostic Test, and score higher on the Essay Test.

    2)score below 945 on the multiple choice test, receive a diagnostic level of 5 or higher on the Diagnostic Test, and score higher on the Essay Test.

    Math-1)score in the range of 950-990 on the CRC test

    2)score below 950 on the CRC Test but receive a diagnostic level of 6 on the Diagnostic Test.
