 My name is Jason Heffner and I am a Coach, Bus Driver, and Phys. Ed. Teacher at Sabine ISD.  I have been teaching for 11 years and I am honored to continue my career teaching here at Sabine.  I graduated from Sabine High School in 1994 and then attended Kilgore College and the University of Texas at Tyler where I earned a bachelor's degree in Education.  I began my teaching career at Kilgore ISD, where I taught 5th grade for one year.  Then, in 2000, I was honored to return to my alma-mater, Sabine ISD. 

 

My wife, Danette and I have three children, LJ (9), Shawn (2), and Sydney (6 months).  I have served as the Cardinals' Head Cross Country Coach since 2000.  I also enjoy coaching basketball and track at Sabine High School and Middle School.  While I'm not a work, I like swimming, traveling, exercising, playing basketball, and watching T.V.
