Welcome to Mrs. Wood's 8th Grade English Class!
8th Grade is an exciting and challenging year. We will be learning and experiencing new things together every day.
Educational Background:
I graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Early Childhood and English. I am beginning my 24th year in education. This is my 20th year at Sabine ISD. I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 4th grade, and 7th grade Reading. I am excited to be teaching eighth-grade English now! This will be my third year teaching 8th grade English. I love to watch my students grow and succeed during their last year of middle school.
Personal Information:
I have been married for 23 years and have 2 children. My son works and lives in Austin Texas. My daughter is a Senior this year at Sabine High School where she is the Captain of the Sabine Strutter Dance Team.
