ASSISTANT IN SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY
Gregg County Special Education Shared Service Arrangement is currently seeking applications for the
FULL-TIME position of ASSISTANT IN SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY for the completion of the
2024-2025 school year.
QUALIFICATIONS: Valid state license as an Assistant in Speech-Language Pathology
JOB DUTIES:
1. Conduct data collection, clinical observation and routine test administration if the assistant has
been appropriately trained and assessments are conducted under the direction of the licensed
SLP supervisor
2. Implement the treatment program or IEP designed by the licensed SLP supervisor
3. Provide carry-over activities which are the therapeutically designed transfer of a newly
acquired communication ability to other contexts and situations
4. Maintain clinical records
5. Prepare clinical materials
6. Participate with the licensed SLP in staff development, public relations programs, or similar
activities as designated and supervised by the licensed SLP
7. May write lesson plans based on the therapy program developed by the supervising SLP. SLP
must review and approve the plans.
8. Must only work with assigned cases of the supervising SLP
9. Maintain confidentiality
10. Perform other duties assigned by campus principal and Director of Special Education that are
within the licensing requirements of the Assistant in Speech Language Pathology
SALARY:
Salary determined by Gregg County Special Education SSA Management Board
