Sabine Cardinal Summer Strength/Conditioning Program
The Sabine Cardinal coaching staff will be offering a summer strength and conditioning program for our grades 7-12 athletes. The program will consist of varied weight training as well as agility, speed, and flexibility workouts. The program will start on June 3, and run from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., Monday thru Thursday. We will not have the program during the week of July 4. The program will end on Thursday, July 18. Also for this summer, per the U.I.L., no work outs on July 9/10. If interested, our cafeteria will be offering free lunch to all kids. Times will be announced later.
The U.I.L. allows coaches to administer these workouts, and close supervision will always be a priority! Per the U.I.L., these workouts can now include sport skill specific workouts, with time limits per week. (No more than 2 hours/week)
We encourage all our athletes to participate in the summer program. It will enhance their overall development to compete at a higher level on the fields/courts. Regular attendance is most important to see gains in performance.
